WPL Ltd process design and manufacture a range of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment systems from their manufacturing base near Portsmouth, Hampshire. WPL Ltd are the market leaders in the supply of small/medium sized wastewater treatment plants to the Water Utilities. In addition, there are a range of tertiary and transportable units designed to supplement existing on-site processes during times of repair/refurbishment, or during periods when the plant is not meeting the required discharge standards.

1.Package Sewage treatment plant – Integral and modular HiPAF Submerged aerated filter technology. Plant consists of a GRP integral primary, biological treatment and final (Humus) settlement tanks. Complete sewage treatment capability in one tank. Modular units can be supplied where the individual processes are supplied in separate tanks, typically for larger population equivalents. 2.Conical Tanks GRP construction up to 6m diameter for use as settlement tanks, either primary or final. Used in conjunction with existing processes or as part of a ‘modular’ package plant installation. GRP tanks designed for below ground installation. 3.Biological modules (SAFs) The biological treatment plant (SAF) supplied as single or multiple tanks to provide secondary or tertiary treatment. These tanks can be supplied in GRP for below ground installation, or in steel for above ground installation. To include process design, manufacture, delivery to site. 4.Package Sand Filters. Used as a tertiary treatment to reduce BOD and Suspended Solids after full treatment. Can be purchased or rented. To include process design, manufacture, delivery to site and setting to work. Click here for further information
5.Temporary/Transportable biological modules (Hire and Purchase) Biological SAF modules designed for transportation to various sites to compliment existing processes or provide tertiary treatment for more stringent consents. 6.Activated Sludge and Sequential Batch Reactors Treatment carried out in a single tank with full PLC control. Provides a smaller footprint than SAFs at larger population equivalents, and has the potential to be developed for trade/commercial waste. Also suitable for Total N and Biological P removal. 7.Inlet sceens A range of inlet screens, incorporating fine and course screenings, dewatering, compaction and screen handling equipment. Inlet screens designed to protect downstream processes and optimise their treatment capability. Click here for further information
8.MicroScreens Microscreen drum filters for use on larger plants for tertiary solids removal. This compliments our range of sand filters, and is appropriate for higher hydraulic flows up to 300l/s. Can be installed as mobile units in stainless steel tanks above ground, or in concrete channels for permanent installations. Available to purchase or rent. 9.DAF Sludge Thickening (Dissolved Air Floatation) Sludge thickening solutions for water utility applications, can be stand alone or part of a larger solution. Click here for further information
10.GRP/steel Kiosks GRP and steel kiosks are provided with all our plant to house compressors and are offered as additional optional items. They are waterproof and acoustically lined to reduce noise. Typical values of noise at 5m from the kiosk is 50Db.
