Architects, Consultants, Distributors, Installers and Merchants are reminded of the significant change to legislation which happened last year, regarding small wastewater treatment plants, of up to 50 population equivalent.
The introduction of the BS EN 12566-3 has meant that only products which have been type tested and approved to this new European standard, will be available to the market.
Products which are described as either ‘designed in accordance with’, ‘compliant’ or ‘conforming with the requirements of’, but are not CE marked as a complete system, will not demonstrate full evidence of successful type testing at a European approved test house will not be legal, and will be the subject of a trading standards investigation.
One way to avoid potential embarrassment when specifying equipment for future projects is to ensure you are recommending package sewage treatment plants which are fully compliant, and carry the CE marked.
The WPL Diamond was one of the first plants to undertake a rigorous 38 week testing regime and achieved full compliance back in June 2005. However, don’t just take our word for it, in order to provide full assurance of the product quality WPL have had their CE accreditation fully reviewed and endorsed by a totally independent third party.
The highly respected Lloyds register have ratified the WPL system and specifiers, sellers, and customers alike can take great comfort in knowing that the WPL Diamond is manufactured by a company which has an integrated management system which includes a quality management system approved to ISO 9001 and an environmental management system approved to ISO14001.
So please do not take a risk with your hard earned reputation and always consider the WPL Diamond as the best solution for your customers' wastewater treatment needs.
