People at WPL

WPL considers staff to be one of its most valuable assets. Pre-employment, we have a structured and fair competency based interview process, as such ensuring that the right people are selected and matched to the relevant job specification.

Once appointed, we believe that our very low staff turnover rate shows that people remain with us because they develop a passion for the business. We actively encourage people to make the best use of their talents and skills and at the same time gain career fulfilment from what they do. In order to identify individual’s training needs which are relevant to business needs, we have a well established Individual Development Plan (IDP) process, which all employees from Director to Assembly Operative are familiar with. All employees’ personal objectives, set and monitored via the IDP process, are linked to the company’s overall strategy and annual business plan. At WPL we are proud of our Investors In People (IIP) status and are continually striving towards ensuring that our employees are not only motivated and happy in their working environment but that they take pride in effectively contributing to the success of the business.
