Commercial Sewage Treatment

WPL has over 14 years experience providing products for treating wastewater and sewage for a wide range of commercial applications including mobile home establishments, campsites, offices, motorway service stations, public houses, hotels, leisure clubs, power stations, hospitals and schools, where there is no access to mains drainage.

With a close association with RIBA, WPL are able to offer comprehensive specification support and technical advice on wastewater treatment to Architects and Specifiers, as well as undertaking site visits and surveys. WPL offer comprehensive CPD seminars on wastewater treatment and supply this service remotely if required.

WPL are also able to offer onsite contractor assistance during installation and also a commissioning service, operational support, and ongoing maintenance.

Products available for commercial application are:

HiPAF Submerged Aerated Filters:
Biological treatment using SAF technology, designed for applications with variable flows and loads. Designed to the Royal Standard Commission for wastewater treatment, the system can be supplied as a single or modular solution. As standard plant, it will treat to 20:30:20 BOD:SS:NH4. The HiPAF can also be customized to treat to standards as high as 10:10:2 as part of a correctly sized treatment plant and may include a Sand Filter. Click here for further information

besst BESST Activated Sludge:
Biological treatment without primary settlement, designed for applications with a high emphasis on nutrient removal. The BESST is a compact treatment system largely based on an Activated Sludge system, with the ability to meet consents which surpass 10:10:1:10:3, BOD:SS:NH4:TN:P.

Sequential Batch Reactors (SBR):
For wastewater treatment with high process control through he batch process. A globally recognized treatment process, the SBR is ideal for applications with variable flows and loads, where high consent standards are specified. Once installed, the SBR can have additional treatment modules attached to cope with any future increase in loading on the plant. 10:10:2:10:3, BOD:SS:NH4:TN:P

Sand Filters:
For final effluent polishing of suspended solids and incorporated BOD demand. The units are ideal as a component of an integral system or a stand alone process unit. Click here for further information

MicroScreen:
Permanent or temporary solution and is also available for hire. The MicroScreen is ideal for solids removal. The unit has been incorporated in new works as a process unit and has commonly been used on failing treatment plants or during periods of refurbishment at sewage treatment works.

RADS:
For aerobic sludge digestion, enabling extended de-sludge periods to be achieved. The unit offers safe, odour free storage of sludge. The unit can be incorporated as a part of a new scheme or retrofitted to existing sites. Return liquors will not over load the treatment process.

Conical Tanks:
Conical Tanks are designed for the settlement of raw sewage, secondary treated effluent and industrial waste water. The tank is resilient to almost all chemicals, thus boasting a robust construction that is compliant to BS6297 and BS4994.  Click here for further information
