Commercial applications
Utilising SAF (Submerged Aerated Filter) technology, the WPL HiPAF combines versatility, efficient processing and reliability to meet Environment Agency and SEPA specifications whilst minimising visual impact on the landscape.
Available in single tank or in modular formats, this system provides treatment for Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Suspended Solids (SS) and ammonia (NH4) in small wastewater applications for populations ranging from 5 up to 3,000 persons.
With no internal moving parts, the HiPAF handles variable flows and loads, and stores both humus and primary sludges in one compartment for convenient tanker operations. Other benefits include bespoke designs to meet customer needs, minimal visual impact, and unique flow balancing in its primary tank, surface-accessible diffusers and an air distribution system that can be maintained without emptying the tanks.
With over 1200 units installed throughout the United Kingdom and overseas, the HiPAF is specified by Water Plc’s including United Utilities, Yorkshire Water and Southern Water, whilst also being the preferred choice in many commercial applications not connected to main drainage.
