The RainBrain School system is designed to help schools become more sustainable and can contribute to qualifying for green flag status through the Eco-Schools programme.

RainBrain rainwater harvesting solutions also provide an opportunity for pupils to develop their understanding of sustainability within the school's science curriculum. The RainBrain's wall-mounted, digital display panel shows water usage and can be used as a dynamic teaching aid. The display panel includes:
- Digital depth indicator displaying the depth of water stored in the tank
- Rota meter visual indicator of flow and quality
- Digital usage indicator
- Digital slide show presentation describing the rainwater harvesting process
WPL provides a full design and advisory service to ensure that each RainBrain solution meets the school's individual needs. The fully automatic system offers a choice of underground or above ground, impact resistant tanks for applications ranging from 13,000 litres to 200,000 litres plus the latest in low noise, self-priming pumps and controls from WPL's commercial eco range.
A floating suction pump inlet with a filter suspended beneath the surface ensures that the water taken is at the optimum level of cleanliness. All systems come with direct feed, duty assist and duty standby pumps where required.
Rainwater is collected from roofs, filtered and stored in a tank, then pumped into the school for various non-drinking or non-bathing purposes. As a further health and safety precaution for schools, the system can be supplied with an optional UV filter for additional sterilisation.
The RainBrain is supplied as either a standard packaged system or a bespoke solution.
